Gun laws change from state to state and year to year. 2A Maps puts 25 state firearm law maps in one free, easy-to-read place, so gun owners can see where each state stands at a glance. In this live chat, 2A activists get a first look at the project, walk through how it works, and share feedback on what to add next.

What 2A Maps covers:

– Carry: constitutional carry, concealed carry permits, reciprocity, non-resident permits

– Buying: purchase age, permit to purchase, permit to own, private sale checks, background checks, ammunition checks, registration

– Restricted items: assault weapon bans, magazine limits, suppressors, NFA items, home-built firearms

– Self-defense and rights: stand your ground, castle doctrine, red flag laws, state right to bear arms, preemption

– Local: 2A sanctuary states and counties, plus marijuana laws and gun owners
